The Independence Day is near and so is the date for registration for the new JioPhone 2. Reliance Jio announced JioPhone 2 in its annual general meeting this year.
This phone is expected to be smarter and more efficient than Jio Phone 2. Not only in glasses, the new JioPhone 2 will also be valuable from JioPhone. Geo says that the new JioPhone 2 will be available to buy from the date when its registration begins on August 15. During JioPhone, people had to wait a week or more to register for receiving a JioPhone.
India is a growing market for feature phones and in this segment Jio Phone has already earned a good name. With Jio Phone 2, Reliance Jio can once again disrupt the feature phone market.
In the meantime, there are many crisps and grip around this new Jio Phone 2. The new phone will also come with Whatsapp, YouTube and Facebook support. JioPhone so far only supports Facebook. It will also get WhatsApp and YouTube support from August 15.
Price of JioPhone 2: You have to pay Rs 2,999 while booking a JioPhone 2. There is no cash on delivery options so far.
JioPhone 2's specs: Jio Phone 2 plays 2.4-inch QVGA display. Unlike geophone, Jiophone 2 comes with QWERTY keypad like Blackberry. The phone runs on the KA OS and comes with 512 MB of RAM with 4 GB of storage. Storage memory can be expandable up to 128 GB via a MicroSD card. 2000 mAh battery, on the rear panel, #JioPhone2 plays a sensor of 2 megapixels at the front while you get the VGA sensor.
App support for Jio Phone 2: Jio Phone 2 will run WhatsApp, Facebook, Google Maps, and YouTube.
JioPhone Monsoon Hungama offer: Jio has separately also announced JioPhone exchange offer under which the company will give you a chance to buy JioPhone at Rs 501 in exchange for any old feature phone. Note that the phone which is to exchange should not be more than three years old. This Rs 501 is refundable.
